this is a question a sincere christian may agonize over after learning that some books of the bible were rejected by certain early christian groups,while other books that did not make the canon were accepted.

also,when one realizes that so called inspired writers of the greek scriptures quote from apocrypha,that most christians reject today,one wonders if these writings that include these quotes should even be in the bible.. it is true that when it comes to the christian greek scriptures the canon has been closed for many centuries.

also, these books have been accepted by christians ever since the second,perhaps first,century.

Redvip:It's not that simple. I recomend reading the book The Signature of God,revised version. If you have a book that proves the Bible as false I would love to know,preferably a recent book. Thanks.

Does anyone have historical records of this. Because according to the Muratorian manuscript of around 170c.e, all 27 books were accepted by most groups and only one in that ms is not in the canon(appocolypse of Peter)?

Data-Dog: I feel thd traditional 27 books of the Christian scriptures should be the foundaition of the the Bible. One can also learn from letters of the early church fathers like 1Clement as opusdei 1972 points out.

why does the society no longer use strong language, such as found in the march 1, 1949 wt, to expose false religion?.

"...for years now the united states government has had a succession of roman catholic men as postmaster general and in control of the post-office department, and about such there can be no doubt that they are agents and representatives of the vatican.

but to date has anyone ever heard of this religionist in office issuing an order forbidding the use of the united states mails for carrying on a racket of collecting money from roman catholics upon the representation that it is for the benefit of their dead.

They dont use strong language anymore because it has got them in trouble in the past. Rutherfords religious hate articles caused Hitler to brutally persecute the IBS's.

Data-dog, I noticed the same thing and thought how haughty of them. I pointed to a sentence for my wife, it said ' we should not let seemingly experts control our lives'. Funny, are not the GB considered "experts"? Yet many JW's let them control and micro-manage their lives. But I guess that sentence applies to everyone except them, because it is so evident that they are God's mouthpiece (huge sarcasm implied).
